Re: [ROE] Rise of the Eldrazi - Spoiler Alert
Invading Swarm's got a new one we haven't seen before on it!
Nice.
I actually don't like the eldrazi designs much. Too 'wormy'. Which they were more like the far left of the vamp/Nassia poster.

I think the one on Invading Swarm is the central one in the first image but I'm not too sure just yet.

Re: [ROE] Rise of the Eldrazi - Spoiler Alert
That's obviously not the correct Sarkhan as it is a mockup, as are the other cards on that link (Memnor is obviously wrong without Annihilate) but we do know that the artwork is the one on the sleeves. We have no idea of his colour bias as yet or his abilities.

You mean these spoilers? (click images to see larger version)

Pathrazer of Ulamog -

Creature - Eldrazi

Pathrazer of Ulamog can’t be blocked except by three or more creatures.
9/9
Austin Hsu 9/248

Mammoth Umbra -

Uncommon
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature gets +3/+3 and has vigilance.
Totem armor (If enchanted creature would be destroyed, instead remove all damage from it and destroy this Aura.)
Howard Lyon 37/248

Mnemonic Wall -

Common
Creature - Wall
Defender
When Mnemonic Wall enters the battlefield, you may return target instant or sorcery card from your graveyard to your hand.
0/4
Vance Kovacs 78/248

Corpsehatch -

Uncommon
Sorcery
Destroy target nonblack creature.
Put two 0/1 colorless Eldrazi Spawn creature tokens onto the battlefield. They have “Sacrifice this creature: Add 1 to your mana pool.”
Kekai Kotaki 103/248

Valakut Fireboar -

Uncommon
Creature — Elemental Boar
Whenever Valakut Fireboar attacks, switch its power and toughness until end of turn.
1/7
Zoltan Boros & Gabor Szikszai 170/248

Prey's Vengeance -
Instant
Uncommon
Target creature gets +2/+2 until end of turn.
Rebound (If you cast this spell from your hand, exile it as it resolves. At the beginning of your next upkeep, you may cast this card from exile without paying its mana cost.)
Jesper Ejsing 205/248
Check out our new mechanics!
Annihilator 3 - Whenever this creature attacks, defending player sacrifices X permanents.
Totem armor (on Enchantment - Aura) - If enchanted creature would be destroyed, instead remove all damage from it and destroy this Aura. I feel this may also be available on other non-Enchant creature Auras.
Confirmation of 0/1 colorless Eldrazi Spawn creature tokens with “Sacrifice this creature: Add 1 to your mana pool.”
Rebound - If you cast this spell from your hand, exile it as it resolves. At the beginning of your next upkeep, you may cast this card from exile without paying its mana cost. I wonder how many people will forget to rebound before they draw for their draw step.

Loving the totem armour. Auras that prevents death, insteed of both going away.
Also love the new black card. V. good i think for draft.
Same for the new red card.
Doubtful about rebound. Pay once to get a card twice, but before you draw. mmm.....

Re: [ROE] Rise of the Eldrazi - Spoiler Alert
Rebound is hot! Especially if we see it on more than just Giant Growth effects. Imagine a draw spell with rebound that gives you one in the turn you cast it and another in you next upkeep. Imagine a Disfigure, Brave the Elements or Lighting Bolt with rebound. It has a lot of potential if the spells it ends up on aren't too highly costed. Let's hope they're all like Prey's Vengeance and are just uncommon to make sure they don't warp the limited format.
The idea with the Eldrazi are that the Eldrazi Spawn tokens get sacrificed to help accelerate into the big casting Eldrazi creatures. Apparently all colours should have a way to make these tokens. We're just not sure if it will be only via instants and sorceries or whether a creature/enchantment will make them.
Oh... Recent news update...
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre is another one of the Legendary Eldrazi along with Kozilek, Butcher of Truth. There will be only one more legendary Eldrazi with the rest being non-legendary and easier to keep on the board I guess. Given today's article on the official website http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/stf/82, we now know enough to state the following...
The three legendary Eldrazi are actually the 3 Gods that the Merfolk and Kor worship. The Merfolk's names for the Gods are closer to the real names than the Kor's names so:
It's obvious that these names have been bastardized over time but I still can't wait to hear more about the flavour of these Eldrazi.

Only three? Disappointing. So we will have only three major eldrazis to work with? And the rest will be rares/uncommons? Why have huge, impotent fatties that are uncommons?
Also, what in Urza's mangy beard, is a Gyre?

Re: [ROE] Rise of the Eldrazi - Spoiler Alert
A gyre, it seems, is any form of vortex. Wikipedia has under gyre (disambiguation):
-A tornado
-A Maelstorm or whirlpool
-An Ocean gyre (large current)
So it's basically a wind/water vortex of any kind. Nicely themed for the 'blue' Eldrazi. It'll be an eldrazi with the power of tornadoes and maelstorms! Those things are the most epic thing i think that can be classed 'Blue'
Oh, and here a picture of the world's 5 ocean gyres.
. Imagine an eldrazi as big as one of those!

Re: [ROE] Rise of the Eldrazi - Spoiler Alert
Some new artwork worth seeing just because this set is looking to be a crazy artwork set...
First off, we have Emrakul, the Aeons Torn in all her/its glory

Then we've got some Eldrazi Spawn crawling out of the ocean... Definitely an odd image

Last but not least we have one of the Eldrazi Brood doing it's thing walking around a battlefield.

Just in case you didn't know that I've been updating a visual spoiler for ROE you can view it at:
http://www.wizardsofthegulfcoast.com/?page_id=791
I'm still waiting to see some nice blue cards. That Demon is just Johnnyriffic and I can't wait to see it used effectively...
Remember, it allows you to CAST the 6 cards exiled which means... Hello Legendary Eldrazi!

Yea, its risky but great.
I am liking the level up dragon too. One of the better ones. Cheap, useful.
Near-death experience could be nice too, maybe not in standard but definitely in EDH and extended.
