Wizards of the Gulf Coast is a community of multi-national players based in the United Arab Emirates. We are primarily dedicated to the game, Magic: The Gathering, but also cover other trading card games and board games. We started out as a casual group of Magic: The Gathering players at the time of the Ravnica block (2005) and now meet regularly for casual and more serious events.

Whether you are a new or old player or simply interested in Magic: The Gathering in general, feel free to turn up to any of our events to find out more. We hold sanctioned events for Magic: The Gathering (Friday Night Magic, Standard Constructed, Block Constructed and Limited) on Thursdays and Saturdays with larger constructed tournaments once a month. We also play more casual formats such as Cube Drafting, Mini Masters (Pack War), 2 Headed Giant, Elder Dragon Highlander (EDH), Planechase, Emperor and more. If you are looking for a piece of action look no further.

We currently have over 70 registered players with a core group of more active players. Our players hail from many different countries including Philippines, England, United States of America, Turkey, Belgium, France, U.A.E, Lebanon, Italy, New Zealand and more. The age range of the community starts at 15 years to include a bunch of oldskool players who have been with Magic: The Gathering since the beginning. Our main goal is to have fun playing in a competitive but friendly environment. New players are always welcome and looked after by the group as a whole. If you would like to participate and have no decks of your own you will be sure to find a friendly player willing to lend you a deck to play with for the night. Additionally, the group will support new players with excess cards to get them started up quickly.

Boosters, Booster Boxes, Fat Packs, Card Sleeves and Binders are also available to purchase on the event nights and all the players trade before and after the games. Our forums have an extensive area to help speed this along.
