Fly-to-Victory Brussels – Report

Congrats to Mark Ocampo, the winner of our last Fly-to-Victory event. And a big thanks to all participants, this event was a success thanks to YOU!

We didn’t have the numbers necessary for a full-blown Fly-to-Victory (12 participants) but we still ran a larger-than-usual tournament will a hefty prize pool (78 boosters distributed).

After 4 rounds of Standard Constructed and a top4 (that’s 6 hours of Magic!!!) Mark emerged as the undisputed victor of the event, taking home the first prize of a box of Zendikar Boosters (worth 540 AED!). The other 42 boosters were divided between the other top4 participants (22,10,10) who all displayed a lot of skill and cool to get into the final 4.

The Deck-of-the-Month is definitely Boros (Red/White) which is capable of easy kills as early as turn 4, but it is Naya Zoo that took the honors just like for the 2009 Worlds Championships – here is the winning decklist:

4 Lightning Bolt
3 Path to Exile
3 Ajani Vengeant
1 Burst Lightning
4 Woolly Thoctar
4 Bloodbraid Elf
1 Scute Mob
4 Noble Hierarch
4 Wild Nacatl
4 Baneslayer Angel
4 Ranger of Eos
4 Forest
4 Plains
3 Mountain
1 Oran-Rief, the Vastwood
4 Sunpetal Grove
4 Rootbound Crag
4 Arid Mesa

See you all at the next edition of Fly-to-Victory for a chance to win your ticket to Grand-Prix Lyon (France)!
